If you are a photographer, videographer or just someone who loves the outdoors and appreciates a good view, then this is the website for you.
During my photography journey I have been lucky enough to travel to many different locations around the UK, allowing me to soak up the stunning views presented.
What I found when researching a location was the lack of information available.
An example of this was before I purchased my GPS unit and had the mapping software provide by Garmin, I planned a small hike to the summit of Gummer’s How located in the Lake District.
Distance from the carpark to the summit is just under 1 km but what I didn’t know was the elevation was around 100 meters, which wouldn’t be too hard if it was gradual rise.
But at Gummer’s How the elevation rise is towards the last part of the hike, compressing the work required to reach the summit.
Possibly this wouldn’t be a problem for the experienced hiker, but if you were like me at the time and just starting then this was a huge task.
This is why I have created Stunning Views to pass on my experience with the locations that I have travelled to and with the software I have purchase I can plan for future trips.
